STRONG - When her team needed her most, Dynasty Davis delivered.
Down by 10 points with four minutes remaining, Davis scored 11 unanswered points to power Strong to a come-from-behind 56-55 win over Woodlawn on Tuesday night in Class 1A-2A District 16 play.
A sophomore, Davis scored with 42 seconds left to give the Lady Bulldogs (9-4, 3-2) the lead before sinking two free throws with three seconds left to cap her run.
She finished with 30 points and eight steals.
“Woodlawn was in first place in the conference, so beating them was huge,” said Strong coach Jason Porter.
“Now we’re leading the conference. We were down 12, and Dynasty played with four fouls for a quarter and a half. Once she gets going, she’s hard to stop.”
Amaya Smith had a double-double for Strong, finishing with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Kiki Shelton was also in double figures with 11 points for the Lady Bulldogs.
Madison Barringer had 14 points and Kaylee Hinson added 12 points for Woodlawn, who led 34-30 at intermission.
In the junior girls game, Strong got past Woodlawn 35-29.
Chrishunda Williams had 21 points and Holly Baker finished with nine points for Strong.
LAKE VILLAGE 46
LAKE VILLAGE - Sharnes McGhee scored 23 points to lead the Lady Bucks past the Lady Beavers Tuesday in Class 3A-4A District 12 action.
Jordyn White chipped in with 11 points for Smackover, which improved to 10-5 on the season.
Sierra Wade scored 18 points to lead Lake Village, which dropped to 2-9.
JUNCTION CITY 37
WARREN - Shakeira Stovall and Faith Jackson combined for 35 points to power the Lady Lumberjacks past Junction City Tuesday in 3A-4A District 12 play.
Warren improved to 14-3 on the season while the Lady Dragons fell to 7-7.
Junction City led 13-8 after one quarter but was outscored 17-7 in the second and trailed 40-29 going into the fourth.
Stovall led Warren with 20 points while Jackson contributed 15.
Bryanna Raye led Junction City with 13. Taykeetria Rogers scored six with seven rebounds.
Jhonda Webster added six with five boards. Jada Archie scored four with seven boards and Keyanna Ross notched four with six rebounds.
Junction City hosts England on Thursday.

COLUMBIA CHRISTIAN 30
Olivia Voss hit the game-winner in the final seconds of regulation, as the Lady Warriors (14-3, 6-0) came up with a big victory in an AACS South showdown.
Lauren Land had 18 points and Voss finished with eight with none being bigger than her aforementioned basket that gave the Lady Warriors the lead for good.
In the junior girls game, West Side Christian fell to Columbia Christian 35-13.
Daisy Tabe had eight points for West Side Christian.
